Hotel Wittelsbach Berchtesgaden, Berchtesgaden

I was thrilled with my stay at this hotel! The rooms were very large and nice, which made our accommodation super comfortable and clean. The open balcony door into our room was a lovely touch, and the space was fairly big for 3 beds. The service was top-notch, with staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful. Even when I had a small complaint, they advised me with a smile. The location was wonderful, offering great mountain views and placing us perfectly in the center of Berchtesgaden. It was within walking distance of everything we wanted to explore. The dining experience was what I expected in a German hotel - wholesome and satisfying. The facilities were great, with everything we needed for a fantastic stay.

The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Berchtesgaden, making it superb for exploring the downtown area and pedestrian mall. The rooms, though in need of refurbishment, are spotlessly clean and equipped with a fridge, which is convenient for storing water. However, they lack an Electric Kettle to enjoy hot tea on the balcony.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of delightful experiences and a few drawbacks. The rooms were lovely, immaculately clean, and comfortable in a classy, traditional style with beautiful crown moldings, but having a cot instead of a bed was a downside. The service was exceptional in some aspects, like the recommended panorama trip by Franz, but the unexpected charges at checkout dampened the experience. The location was convenient, just a couple of minutes walk from the town center, but the limited parking and noise from partying outside were minor inconveniences. The dining experience was satisfactory, with some delicious options like the refreshing juice but fell short compared to other hotels. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with room for improvement.
